The Melvin Hall Community Group won £2000 of Good Neighbour funding during our 2016 campaign.
What is The Melvin Hall Community Group?
Providing services and support for local people in the community, including vulnerable people such as the homeless and the elderly.
Why should The Melvin Hall Community Group receive a donation from the Good Neighbour programme?
The Melvin Hall Community Group supports vulnerable people in their community by providing activities for adults with learning difficulties, along with hot meals, clothing, bathing facilities and companionship and support for homeless people. They are looking to organise a Boxing Day /Christmas Day dinner for people who would otherwise spend Christmas alone. They are looking to provide an Over 60s drop in centre as the day centre in the community is now closed. They’d also like to start and promote a parent and toddler group as the community is crying out for these facilities.
What could The Melvin Hall Community Group use the money for?
Having this money would enable them to start providing the services and would be such a big asset to the community and help so many people .
