Marlborough Community Youth Project

The Marlborough Community Youth Project was a runner up and won £500 of Good Neighbour funding during our 2016 campaign.

What is Marlborough Community Youth Project?

The Marlborough Community Youth Project provides support and offers a safe haven for children aged 10 plus in Marlborough, offering entertainment on Friday evenings.

Why should Marlborough Community Youth Project receive a donation from the Good Neighbour programme?

Working with children from the age of 10 plus, they offer support and provide a safe haven for the children by keeping them off the streets at night.

What could Marlborough Community Youth Project use the money for?

The youth centre needs a complete refurbishment inside and out to provide a more welcome place for the children. This would allow them to hire the building out to make money to put back into the project and take children on various trips who come from a variety of backgrounds – some of which have never enjoyed life outside of Marlborough. The money could also be used to help the Youth Project stay open. Funding will also be used to improve the area surrounding the youth centre to provide better sport facilities including a new basketball/netball area.
