The Joshua Project is based in Great Horton, one of the most economically deprived areas in Bradford and indeed the UK. The project provides safe and self-esteem enhancing activities for young people in a positive environment. Over 400 young people aged between nine and 18 visit the project each week to take part in a variety of innovative, positive and engaging activities including youth clubs, drop-in sessions, music and media workshops, boxing academy, football training and mentoring.
Joshua Project Good Neighbour Funding
Funding was provided in order to allow the project to put down sustainable roots at a time when funding providers were cutting back. This gave them stability which in turn allowed them to plan their programmes and establish themselves more securely.
